Founded in 2017 at STEM 6th of October – High School for Boys, the STEM Astronomy Club is a student-led initiative dedicated to inspiring a passion for astronomy. We organize engaging events, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities to promote scientific curiosity and deepen students' understanding of the universe. Our mission is to create a vibrant community where students can explore the wonders of space, share knowledge, and develop a lifelong interest in astronomy.
The club is open to anyone with an interest in astronomy and passed the 9th grade (3rd preparatory grade). No advanced knowledge is required—just bring your passion for exploring the universe, and you’re welcome to be part of our journey!.
Just by filling the application form you are considered for our club.
Decisions are typically sent 2-4 weeks after the form's deadline. However, occasional challenges during member selection may cause slight delays.
There are no fees to join the club. The activities we do are totally free to join!
The club meets once a week, usually on Fridays, featuring discussions on diverse astronomy topics led by our organizers.
The club hosts weekly discussions, annual events, and exciting house-based (Like the ones in the Harry Potter movie series) activities inspired by the spirit of friendly competition and collaboration. For more about the activities, check Activities.
No prior knowledge is required. The club is open to all skill levels, and we aim to provide a welcoming environment for everyone to learn and grow.
